Guide
Anan & the NDIS
How Anan fits assistive-technology and capacity-building budgets — and how the one-tap usage report turns everyday communication into plan evidence.
The communicator’s voice is free
You never need NDIS funding to give someone a voice with Anan. The boards, speaking, typing, switch access and “I need…” are free forever and never lock. Funding only ever comes into it for the optional carer & clinician toolset, or for a device if a family needs one.
Which budgets can apply
- Assistive Technology (AT). The carer & clinician plan and any device can sit in AT budgets for self- and plan-managed participants.
- Capacity Building. Setting Anan up with a speech pathologist — configuring vocabulary, modelling, reviewing progress — is capacity-building support.
Ask your support coordinator or plan manager how your specific plan can be used, or ask us and we’ll help you frame it.
The one-tap report as evidence
Anan generates a plan-ready usage summary on the device: most-used vocabulary, language composition, and a literacy & learning progress summary. It turns everyday use into the kind of functional evidence that supports AT assessments and plan reviews. Add your notes, then Print / Save PDF or Export CSV — nothing leaves the device to create it.
The report is a helpful record, not a substitute for clinical assessment. It’s designed to sit alongside a speech pathologist’s reasoning, not replace it.
Billing that fits NDIS
Plans are billed by invoice from Metamorphosis Australia — the normal way NDIS purchases work — so a plan can start immediately while paperwork follows. Prices are in AUD and GST-inclusive. See pricing for the full breakdown.
Anan is a co-design / accessibility tool configured under speech-pathology guidance — not a registered medical device. Talk to your NDIS planner about funding for a device or the carer toolset if you need them.
